I, for one, always get a bit iffy leaving my delicate filming equipment in the hands of people who don’t care for it. It provided plenty of space to securely store my Canon EOS 80D Camera and two lenses (EFS 17-85mm and EFS 55-250mm) while still being compact enough to fit into an overhead bin. Additionally, the O-ring seal protected against dust or moisture entering my case, and the pressure equalization valve balanced interior pressure – both of which gave me peace of mind

Pelican Air 1615 Case No Foam 2020 edition

After the pelican Air 1615 was put into production, the design team went through some iterations of its design and tweaked it a bit here and there, which led to the manufacturing of the 1615 2020 edition. This case is one of the best pelican cases for tools and gadgets out there.

The main differences to its older iteration are its price and some minor features here and there, such as an easy to use push button latches. The design team at pelican decided that the original 1615 case wasn’t ergonomic enough,, so they made some changes to its structure without compromising on its integrity and durability to reduce the price a little bit more. It is remarkably tough and light and uses some remarkable innovations to reach its price point compared to its older version. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily better than the original, though; just a bit less pricey.

The lack of foam inside it does bring it down a notch for me, so out of 10, I’d rate this around 6.5. It has a larger capacity than the others on this list due to the lack of foam, but that comes at a higher risk for damage due to lack of cushioning, which is not worth it, in my opinion.
